Congrats on starting your first fast.
Personally I am 14 days into my 40 day juice fast.
To keep myself in check I keep in mind that I have already lost 18lbs and I allow myself one scoop of low-fat frozen yogurt on Sundays. I figure, it's a drink so I am not really eating.
Drink lots of water and invest in a juicer. I think fasting is one of the best things people can do for themselves.
