Barrett is an abomination; however I can tell you from recent personal experience that blacksalve can be dangerous and I have the scars to prove it!  A little goes a long way and, as was commented in another post - it works pretty much like chemo, surgery or radiation in treating only the symptom (tumor/skin cancer) of an underlying problem.  A better solution might be to use a skin creme based on highly concentrated oleander extract made according to the directions for making oleander soup but condensing it much further down to a syrupy consistancy and combining it with an aloe/vitamin e based skin creme.
