Re: SAT is a kind of IQ test.
Okay, I never said everybody is equal. I definitely don't think that. People with low IQs wouldn't be able to get a high score. However, people with mid-range and higher IQs may IMPROVE their score if they know what subject matter they need to familiarize themselves with. Gaining an additional 50 or 100 points can be valuable. Perhaps they didn't reach their full potential in their first attempt(s) simply because they hadn't brushed up on certain concepts.
I'm sure some people will never be able to understand certain concepts, have good reading comprehension, or know how to consistently work certain types of problems, etc.
But then again, I think some people could probably improve their scores simply by knowing what areas of the test (types of questions) they need to review or get a stronger grasp on. I think some people try to "prepare" for these tests by simply doing lots of practice questions/tests. I am simply asserting that a better method for preparation would be to understand the concepts covered and standard types of questions asked, in order to familiarize themselves with how to answer these types of questions. That being said, armed with this information, obviously some people will still fail miserably, and others will not improve significantly.
I'm interested to hear that the SAT is a type of IQ test. Do you have a link to any information along those lines?
