Matthew, Mark, Peter, Luke and John were chosen by Jesus to be his disciples. they travelled and lived with Jesus and made written records.
The apostles of Jesus were much more accurate than the koran according to Ibn Mas'ud, Ubai ibn Ka'b, 'Ali, Abu Bakr, al-Aswad and Uthman. All have different versions of the koran. Uthman, A'isha, and Ibn Ka'b among others all insisted that much of the Koran had been lost.
Uthman had much of the original codices with several different variations from his version destroyed, but he did not succede in destroying all of them. There are still many variations of the koran that contridict each other.
Why did Uthman destroy originals after he pieced them together according to his version? and with most of the written words were lost.
