Re: danielle123: Re: disapointed

danielle123, I'm on 50mg of zoloft, which I take in the evening and I only take the xanax (.25) as needed. I was taking lorazepam (.5) (which lasts longer and is more mellow, but takes a little longer than xanax to kick in) as needed. The lorazepam I was taking almost everyday, because I was waking up anxious, but since the lorazepam lasts so long, my psych thought it would be best to switch to xanax.

Luckily, I haven't had either the xanax or lorazepam for a few days and I find myself only having to take it once or twice a week now.

I've been on the AD's for almost a month now, but I am starting to feel a difference. Mainly with the excessive thoughts/OCD and the feeling of paranoia - those seem to be easing slightly. The anxiety is getting better too. I still feel like I'm in a "box" sometimes or like I'm not really "here", but it is far better today than what it ever was with Mirena.

I tend to talk myself into feeling bad even though I'm actually feeling OK, so I'm sure a lot of my emotional and physical symptoms could be avoided if I "just stopped thinking about!" So, on top of the AD's, I'm working on some cognitive behavior techniques with my psych. I'm trying to re-train myself to stop thinking so negatively and that everything is actually OK.
