Re: Cholesterol isn't the problem??
I agree that cholesterol may not be the problem, but the medical industry is obsessed with it. My cardiologist had me on Vytorin for a short period until I developed muscle cramps and stopped it. New world-renowned cardiologist nagged me interminably about statins as I had a heart attack AND stroke, but I refused any more.
However, I began some new supplements that brought my cholesterol level under 200, making the cardio happy. I never expected to get it that low as it has been 350 most of my adult life! And most were simple and cheap. Not sure exactly which one did it, so I'm listing the ones I began specifically for cholesterol:
B-5 (pantothenic acid)
B-6
Folic acid
Also royal jelly.
I realize these are some pretty obvious solutions -long known for helping heart issues- but I never expected such a RADICAL change. It did take apr. 3-6 months to be effective. Cholesterol may not be the problem, but it's nice to know it was within my hands (naturally) the whole time. And you should have seen the look on the cardiologist's face, who didn't believe it possible. And no more nagging.
P.S. Although I believe in eating healthily, I do struggle with this even today, so no diet change is responsible for this improvement. In fact, at one time I went on a incredibly
healthy Diet for 6 months in an effort to bring the cholesterol level down...surprise! It was exactly the same. So I understand that eating cholesterol-laden foods does not translate to cholesterol in the blood. At least in my case, it comes from the liver.
