When I first started inverting I would get sore muscles in my legs and sometimes my lower back would hurt just a little, but I found that the more I inverted, the more my body got used to the reversal of gravity and now I can invert without any discomfort at all. I always lay flat for a few minutes before getting up, I believe it really helps.
