Re: probiotics and colonics
The
colonics are a perfect complement to your long cleanse. Good for you!
Your therapist probably doesn't have a fasting background. I have two who do, and neither has me add the probiotics until the break. If I was really concerned about them, I would be more likely to use an implant (retention) enema containing the probiotics... but as you say, you are flushing flushing flushing, so what's the point?
My excellent naturopath has me add 1 tsp. metamucil (like baby food psyllium) 3x daily with food, plus lots of water, during my break until digestion has fully reestablished.
I would hold the olive oil for 3-4 days on the break, then start with 1 T. I would hope your recipe calls for it drizzled onto the soup, rather than cooked in as heat doesn't improve the health benefits of the oil.
As for the liver flush, it's a personal choice but again my excellent naturopath (with loads of fasting experience) recommends I wait until digestion is fully reestablished and I am feeling strong to flush. A long fast is a lot of work for the body, and the
Liver Flush is quite a project as well; good to heal from one before beginning the other. Be sure to keep that oil to a minimum for the days preceding your flush.
On to your p.s.
