Re: loosing and keeping the weight off!
I did the
Master-Cleanse back in October. I lost 15
lbs. and gained back 6 but overall I have lost 15 lbs from my heaviest starting point (I could stand to lose another 15 lbs). The changes I made were eating raw for breakfast and lunch. I find that these are the times that work best for me to eat this way. At dinner I pretty much eat whatever the family wants to eat with many meals being the SAD diet. I have extremes in my family, my husband is a meat and potatoes guy, my daughter is a vegan and I’ll eat anything so it is always a big ordeal for me to make dinners for everyone (total of 5 in my family) I found that when I did the
Master-Cleanse (15 days) it gave me the confidence to be able to resist temptation and get really focused on my own eating habits. In fact on the
Master-Cleanse I got really food obsessed and reading cook books became a favorite past time. But the best part was the preparation of the food for my family. My focus became to prepare each snack, meal with loving, thoughtful nutritious intention and creativity, which surprised me while I sipped my lemonade.
Needless to say the SAD diet is taking over again and so today I started the MC, but mostly because I could feel my body needing to detox. Also I know after the MC I’ll eat better mostly raw for a few months and maybe longer.
So for me, the MC is for a time of healing, rest and detoxifying for my body which helps put the focus on what needs to be done during this time, after this my ultimate plan for continued support in my body toward health and wholeness is to exercise, something I have not done in years.
