for ten months now. I do not have any cavities that the dental hygenist knows about. I had not gone to the dentist for at least 8 years. When I went back last year, it was because I had gum abscess on lower bottom behind the teeth that I could not brush effectively due to having Rheumatoid Arthritis and my hands and wrists are not in good shape at the moment. At the time of the gum abscess, I'd been using the Xylitol toothpowder for two to three months. I previously used Tom's of Maine toothpastes. I will not use any commercial toothpastes as these tastes like Sugar in them.

Anyway my gums had pockets of between 1 and 6. So at my recent cleaning, all pockets went down to 4 on three back molars and basically between 1 and 3 on the other teeth. I was very pleased. I also have been using the water pik type irrigator for 10 months, the same time I began using the Xylitol toothpowder. I am happy with the results.

I believe the Xylitol toothpowders and the Tom's of Maine's toothpastes have helped me a lot.
