magnesium chloride, how to make it

I was reading on-line about magnesium chloride therapy

http://www.newmediaexplorer.org/chris/2005/09/15/magnesium_chloride_in_acute_...

and soaking in magnesium brine at 7-10% This was tested for Psoriasis
but I am sure would help anything that would respond to magnesium.

How much mag would one add to the bath water to reach desired strength? The studies say a low concentration is not effective.

I am interested in magnesium chloride for a few reasons.

1. I read it helps get a person off the dreaded SSri's. I am have trouble
getting off my zoloft. (whole other story!)

I am not exactly sure how magnesium helps withdrawals, except it would
calm one down. Withdrawals are extremely stressful. One site said
magnesium is needed to make serotonin. But it is up to queston whether
serotonin has much to do why SSRI's help depression. I read it is more to
do with SSRI'S creasing stress hormones to jerk you into having more energy.
I think magnesium might be needed to make cortisol. I have read so much
lately about this, I am getting rather confused.

If cortisol is low, that might be why coming off ssris, cause such a shock
to the body. I am open to anyone's view on this. I am having a hard time
putting it all together. I know sleep lowers stress hormones and would help
the withdrawals. But getting sleep during withdrawals is more that could be
expected!

2. I have adrenal exhaustion and am having problems sleeping.

3. I can't absorb oral supplements well. They either do no good or make me ill.

4. Epsom Salt baths do me no good, don't relax me anyway...

I found a source of magnesium chloride, and it seems the expensive inconvenient way to go

Although, I did order a small amount from them to see if it even works for me.

I read, here on cure zone, that others are making magnesium oil using nigari.

I also just read today, dead Sea Salt has magnesium as its first ingredient. It would seem safer to me, to use mag in concert with other minerals, as exists in dead Sea Salt . But on the other had, it has quit a bit of potassium.. The book adrenal fatigue cautions against potassium (not sure why) if adrenal fatigue exists.

I have tried Sea Salt bathes and they do not relax me (mostly sodium), but I think you are supposed to use like 2 pounds or something.

How would one make magnesium oil using dead sea salt. I would think it would be the same as brine? But I have no clue. I am not concerned with it being dangerous being used externally, but more that it would be ineffective at improper strength.

Has anyone here, had a bad experience using magnesium oil either purchased or made from magnesium crystals?

I need to get off zoloft if I ever expect to get my health back.

Please chime in with your thoughts. I need some input other that my own.
