Re: Mac Dill Air Force Base, the old SAC Base
Hi #87980,
A lot of strange things have been going on at Mac Dill Air Force Base since 1959.
The 306th Bomb Wing was there. If you meet any of the guys in the know that were there, the few can tell you a lot if you are a close enough friend.
If you do have such a friend, have him tell you about the Air Force UFO films.
And my favorite story, because I have seen it with my own eyes while in the everglades. They had a B-47 that would head into the everglades with jet engines screaming, once it reaches tree top level and out of site of the tamiami trail, the B-47 would suddenly slow down to a very slow creep with no noise whatsoever, and I mean dead silence.
The jet would glide along silently and float slowly, and could actually stop at a stand still, I saw an officer open the side door and just stand there looking down at the swamp.
There were many reports filed by everglades national park rangers finding crippled and dead deer in the everglades, the examinations showed signs that seemed impossible. All the deer showed signs of being stoned from above, as if somebody had dropping big stones on top of them, there was always a big rock found near the dead deer, and sometimes more than one rock near the body.
This happened a lot near the restricted dam, on the other side of the fence across canal from Nell and Juniors fish camp.
Only rangers had a key to the gate leading to the restricted dam. We used to rent a boat at the fish camp and go up the canal a ways out of site. Then we would drag the boat up and over the dam, and into the other canal where nobody was allowed. Lot of fish in the restricted area, because it had never been fished out ;)
We always came back with the biggest catch and the biggest bass. Nell would always take our picture and pin it up where everybody would see all those big bass catches. It made people think they were caught in the fished out canal near her, and was good for business.
If you happen to know any of the old timers in Vinice florida, ask them about a brown barrel shaped object that had no wings or exhaust showing. It made a loud buzzing noise and was very wobbly. It was chasing an X-15 rocket-powered aircraft, and would almost catch it, until the X-15 kicked on its rocket booster and make a wide turn. It was the wide turns that saved it from the barrel shapped thing. It took the barrel longer to negotiate the turn and zero in on the X-15 again, but when it did line up the X-15 in a straight shot, it would almost catch it again.
This went on for several minutes before they both headed out over the beach.
We all stood and watched this site near the car wash and diner in Venice Florida.
I worked at the car wash at the time washing cars, no cars got washed until we watched the whole thing. The car wash was owned by a nice local cop.
Every time the cop stopped a tourist from speeding or running a light or stop sign. The cop did not hand out tickets, but he sure did invite them to use his car wash business. That car wash packed full all the time!
now...if you read this and decide I'm crazy....you know why i am using a number instead of my name.
