Mirena and terrible side effects!!!

First off all, I want to thank all of you girls for all the posts, they helped me realize that my bad feelings may be associated w/Mirena. I am glad I found that webpage. I have Mirena placed 2.5 years ago after my second son was born, and I am experiecing all the side effects that "that shit" can cause. For last six months I am feeling miserable, I can't leave my normal life anymore. About a year ago I experienced weekness, lack of energy, shortness of breath, breast pain, nervousness etc. I asked my ginecologist if those symptoms might be associated w/ Mirena, she denied. In the last 6 months those side effects intensified, I saw my phisician 3 times because I thought I was goning to go crazy, I felt dizzy, lightheaded, had heart palpitations, my neck and head were stiff,pain in my arms, I had a feeling of throat closing, I thought I am going to have a heart attack or I die. I mentioned him that I didn't have my period for 2.5 years because of Mirena, he said that my symptoms are not associated w/ Mirena, he didn;t even had a clue that Mirena can stop menstruations. He prescribed me benzo (alprazolam) and said I had panic attack and anxiety. Before I had Mirena placed I was a happy, optimistic person, now IT turned me to a WRECK.

TOMORROW is my big day of removing that implant from my body, no hormones for me ANYMORE. Girls wish me good luck, I need that. Thank you for being here, I have read many of your posts. Marta
