You can buy malic acid in a wine making shop and capsule it but it is not like Mag Malate which has been bound to mag. It is highly reactive and really not something you want to take on a regular basis.

BTW: Research has shown malic acid is effective against lyme...

And yes I can't take any of those compressed pills at all, however there must be at least one manufacturer that uses capsules...
