One would think this should be important on the 5 year aniversary...


Given the common media rhetoric of "supporting the troops" to ignore these same troops when they speak out about the horrors of the war is unconscionable. On the fifth anniversary of the Iraq War, it is particularly important that the media reverse this silence, and include the voices of the vets who are speaking out about their experiences in Iraq and Afghanistan in national news coverage.
The Iraq and Afghanistan these soldiers saw and the atrocities in which they participated, are not the Iraq and Afghanistan the government wants the American people to see.

Networks generally won't provide coverage to these kinds of events, due to governmental pressure

This is why thinking Americans to be paying attention to what our veterans who participated in the Winter Soldier event have to say about their experiences. - M. R.
