Re: 32 Massive GI Sluggishness Issues, 1st Colonic Yesterday (Questions)
Dear shelly, it was painful for me just to read your message! You poor thing.
I am both a colon hydrotherapist as well as a long time sufferer of constipation that runs throughout generations on my mother's side of the family. IBS fortunately has not been part of it, it's classic lazy bowel syndrome.
My first suggestion would be to immediately stop taking the chemical disposable enemas sold in the drug stores. They are extremely irritating to a normal healthy bowel, let alone one suffering from IBS. Instead, if you don't already have an enema bag, buy one asap and start using it every day for the next week or two as a start.
Use a solution of 1 teaspoon
Sea Salt (preferably - otherwise non-iodized
table salt ) for each pint of filtered or warmed bottled water, or 4 teaspoons for a full bag. The water temperature should be 103 degrees F at preparation time. A salt
water enema is soothing to the colon, and when taken slowly while lying down in should not be uncomfortable otherI happen to be both a colon hydrotherapist as well as a long term constipation suf than a slight feeling of fullness the enema progresses. Stop the flow for a minute or so if you begin to cramp, and resume when it subsides.
This is just a start, so please don't hesitate to follow up here if you have any questions or concerns.
I hope this helps,
Valerie
