Re: Need advice
Lexapro is a ssri that basically allows your brain to experience seratonin. I understand your dependance on it as I had the same problem with another ssri; couldn't live without it.
However, my (wonderful) dr convinced me to try NATURAL seratonin from the health store in the form of 5-htp or l-tryptohphan. They are a purely natural forms that don't have the side effects of synthetic ssri's. SSRI's are like a drug that keeps your brain from accessing it's own seratonin, so one needs more and more to feel ok. Not to mention the other side effects, like the end of libido.
Seratonin does more than affect one's brain chemistry; it also affects muscle control and other things.
I also would suggest you might have candida, considering your IBS,etc.
Really, so much is going on with you, it seems a thorough testing is most important to determine what the problem could be. I'd go to an alternative, anti-aging dr and get every possible test from hormonal, vitamin deficiency, candida and gluten, brain chemistry, etc, etc. As it is, you're floundering in the dark until the you can find the answer.
