Re: Constant Nagging Cough:

I coughed for over five months while on an ACE inhibitor. I coughed until I threw up, I coughed until I would black out, there were times I could not drive because of the coughing. The sad thing was my doctor was aware of the side effect of chronic coughing, yet he put me through weeks of expensive tests and X-rays trying to find the cause. He even prescribed a narcotic cough medicine so I could sleep. Finally, I found the information that chronic coughs were common side-effects with ACE inhibitors and presented the information to my doctor. He agreed it was probably the medicine, bit since it worked so well otherwise, he hoped I had something else wrong. I quit the medicine (and the doctor) and the cough was gone in three days.

By the way-this is one of several reasons why I am here at Curezone.
