I've read over these posts a few times and I'm ready to respond.

I'm responding from the point of view of an open-minded girl who has been on the other side of your situation.

He doesn't break up with her because he loves her. They may have issues...but what couple doesn't? If he really wanted to call it quits, he wouldn't be there anymore. She is giving him things that he's never gotten elsewhere and that's why he's with her. People make mistakes, and fooling around is a mistake.

One of the things I hate most, no offense to you, are the following:
Women who pursue unavailable men
&
Men who pursue unavailable women

It's just wrong...you can be there as a friend for someone, but he'll only exaggerate his problems with her to make you feel like you have more of a chance with him.
In this situation, I have a feeling that even if he did go with you, he would end up right back with her. She would be an emotional wreck, as you said, and he would hurt and realize what he'd done.
You don't mess with other people's relationships.

He doesn't need someone to help him realize what he wants. If he's ready to leave and be with you, then he will leave. If not, you need to stay away from him.

IF YOU LEAVE HIM ALONE, AND HE MISSES YOUR COMPANY, AND DECIDES IT'S BETTER THAN WHAT HE HAS, HE WILL SEEK YOU OUT AGAIN...AND IF HE DOESN'T LEAVE "MELISSA" FOR YOU, THEN IT'S WRONG!!!

Do not...please please DO NOT let yourself be his girl on the side.

Also consider this: If he cheats with you, he will probably cheat on you.

Chances are it will be much easier for him to cheat on you with his big love, Melissa...than it was for him to cheat on her with you. Tweet
