Forest Garden

Hi all, I am in the research portion of developing a forest garden of my own. I won't be able to buy the land for 2-3 years from now, but instead considering where the best area in the country would be do start, any ideas?

Does anyone know what state, or part of state would best fit fruit tress/vines/bushes of all kinds? (apple, peaches, plums, berries, etc.)
