Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina mid-state to mountains grow great apples, peaches, pears, etc ... ever heard of Georgia peach?
I'm in SC, but near the mountains, temperature zone 7. We have temps that grow same things as Fla/Ga line up to about New Jersey coastline. Can't grow citrus or almonds here, but most other fruits and nuts. Zone 7 has 4 equal seasons just about. Spring starts in about a week, it's here now ... does cause some freezes to flowering fruit trees, but not as often as it happens other places tho.
THEY think the world is crowded ... not in SC.
SC south and east of me is zone 8 ... more problems with heat and pests there ... I grew up there ... apples don't do as well.
I left you a link previously in a response. You SAW xx promise to upgrade the chaos site to more high tech, he started and then abandoned it, even stopped coming to the room which he'd done every night ... so I made a parachat room: Hoilstic Lifestyles. You can access it from my NCC profile page: http://community.naturalcures.com/profile/plzchuckle
