Re: Tuberculosis test

I had a question about the TB test, you seem very knowledgeable. I went to get a test and only knew that I shouldn't scratch it and didn't know that I shouldn't rub it or press it or anything about the lotions. So when I got my test, I did the normal things I usually do before they checked me again 48 hours later, like I used those round scrubbers when I shower, I used sunscreen and I sprayed body perfume as well as pressed on the injection site many times, I have super sensitive skin that I choose my products carefully and the products I choose work well for my skin with the exception of times when I cut myself or in this case, injected with a needle. Immediately I noticed a slight itchyness but didn't think anything of it as I thought it might be from the shot. Then I started reading that I shouldn't be pressing on it, scrubbing the spot and I should avoid lotions and perfume on the injection site. When they read my result the area had the normal redness slightly smaller than the size of a dime and it wasn't really hard, definitely much softer than a mosquito bite and there was a slight bump that slightly raised from out to center (no edges) that was barely even 1 mm tall but not like what I see in photos where the bump is so distinct, it was more like a mosquito bite thats almost gone or a red area similar to if one was allergic to something put on the skin. Could I have gotten a false positive and maybe I should do another test where I'm not irritating the injection site? And of course I didn't tell them I pressed it and scrubbed it and sprayed perfume on it etc. etc. when they checked it because I didn't know until I did research after they checked me out. I just want to be sure the info they gave me was correct before having to start 9 months of medicine that could potentially ruin my liver. And, they had to get 2 people to look at it cause they said I fell in that category where they couldn't tell if I was negative or positive and then both of them read the readings dif't so both their measurements were way dif't than eachothers. What do you think?
