I used to be ok on orthotricyclen low a bc pill, but for some reason after my 2nd child my normal hormones could not handle any hormones, so something that used to work may not be a good indicator, it wasn't for me any ways, after my 2nd son I tried the ortho, and the nuvaring and both did not work for me, that is why my ob suggested the mirena and how perfect it was, well it was far from perfect, your wife may take to it very well though, if she does get it, have her monitor her feelings and you can as well. My husband said he noticed a difference in me 2 weeks after I had it in, but did not say anything, he did not want to hurt my feelings. Five weeks later I was in mirena he//. Who knows it is a toss up.
