Re:

Melis, it is really nice to see that you've had some improvement. The next step is to maintain the little bit of improvement you've had while building upon that.

Since you asked, my advice for you is to spend a bit more time improving your present situation and perhaps hold off on the standard Liver Flush at least for the time being. It is still baffling to me that you had the degree of problems reported the first time around (the palpitations after the olive oil). Plus, it looks like you still harbor some trepidation about that situation.

There are some other, milder treatments you can try in the mean time, like the coffee enemas. You might find that a coffee enema itself helps to produce a mini or mild liver & gallbladder flush. I was surprised when this happened this past year, somewhere around the 3rd or 4th coffee enema I noticed stones in the toilet. That had never happened before and it hasn't happened since. When it did happen, this was somewhere around a month or so after the previous standard liver flush, so there may have been some residual synergy effects. Then again, everybody is a little different on the inside, so your results may vary. I would say this, that if you are determiend to do a standard liver flush, this means taking a fairly hefty dose of olive oil at one time. Doing the Schulze mini 5-day Schulze method will at least help you to gradually build up to taking olive oil in slightly larger doses. If you find that you tolerate that okay, then you are in a better position to consider a standard liver flush. But, if you still end up with problems after taking small amounts of Olive-Oil (mixed in juice and garlic) then this probably precludes you from doing the standard Liver Flush for now.

Try to remember that the standard flush (standard Clark flush) is rather extreme. The final protocol of this method (the Epsom Salts , the olive oil, and grapefruit juice) are rather extreme, and the results they produce are also usually extreme IE> rapid, short term flushing of the lower digestive tract. After studying this method, as well as the archives here of this method, I've gotten the impression that it is the extreme nature of this protocol that also helps a lot of people to build up fears in their mind - before the fact - about the kind of results they might experience. By comparison, this Schulze method (just the mini g&l flush method) is quite mild. This is kind of ironic because on the overall, Schulze is know for being quite radical when it comes to methods for improvign health. The thing is, Schulze's methods, while they do produce some short term benefits, really hit their stride over the longer term. It is over the longer term that the full benefits of his philosophy come to bear, and he designed is methods for this reason.

There are all kinds of other Schulze tips you can experiment with. For starters, you might consider taking in some ginger and or cayenne, both will improve circulation. Cayenne improves circulation towards the exterior - like blood flow, while Ginger helps circulation towards the interior, like in the stomach and GI tract. I don't know why you have experienced palpitations, but Ginger and Cayenne are both good for the heart. The Cayenne especially will help your blood pressure to be stable. Hawthorne Berries are also really good for the heart. Ginger and Cayenne are on the short list that Schulze advises a person ALWAYS have available in their kitchen. The basic philosophy here is, Schulze believes that upwards to 95% of all illness has it's roots in a blockage developing somewhere in the body. While it it is not all that well publicized, there is even some orthodox research that confirms this assertion. The bowells are probably the most common place in the human body where blockage occurs, but there are other places too. The challenge for any person is to figure out where they are blocked. As you can imagine, for the average person who wants to be in control of their own health / body, there are only a few tools available to help guide them, beginning with experience, and experience often times comes from trial & error followed by careful observation.

Anything you can do in natural ways to help blood circulation will assist with loosening up blockages no matter where they are, as will anything you do to improve lymph circulation. Some people might say that coffee enemas are not natural, but they are. The only thing unnatural about them is that that their benefits have increasingly been withheld from people over the years.

Lymph circulation is also important, often times more critical that blood circuluation because Lymph does not have a pump to keep it flowing the way the heart pumps the blood. This is why Schulze always advises all patients - even deathly ill ones, to move their body (exercise) on a daily basis. Moving/exercise causes the body to breath deeply. Breathing deeply causes other parts of the anatomy, like the diaphragm, to move and this in turn creates desireable pressure to push Lymph fluid around. Many people say that a few minutes spent per day on a trampoline is also good for improving lymph flow. It looks like you already have the exercise part taken care of.

There are other mild methods that help to flush the liver & gallbladder, also intended more so for a long term approach rather than quick & extreme. Some people advocate the use of Lecithin, in the form of a thick liquid that is gooey like molasses, taken in about a teaspoon to tablespoon per day, and over the long term this will slowly dissolve stones in the liver and gallbladder. Again, this requires the time factor over a longer term. However, there are other people who are not convinced about the health benefits of Soy Bean (which is a common source for Lecithin) because it is (if I remember correctly) not a naturally occuring crop.

For now I'd suggest that you continue to take it easy while cautiously and gradually adding additional ingredients back into your daily diet, trying to stay towards the mild end of ingredients and food stuffs for a while, just to be sure you are not going to relapse.

Take it slow and easy. Try to build on a positive mental attitude. Sometimes improvement to a mystery condition can be helped just by reducing your worries over the situation. Good luck.
