Re: Have not been able to digest food for over 2 days!
Hello. Since you posted this to the
Schulze Forum , the advice I give will be Schulze-based.
The way you describe the situation, you are now in a highly sensitized situation. - distress, one where seemingly everything you do / eat / drink makes the situation worse. I've been in these kinds of gastric / digestive distress, and have learned that during these times, one of the best ways to get over this hump - to get out of this particular enflamed zone, is to drastically reduce the intake of stuffs that you put into your mouth to eat/drink. When the body has an area / location / subsystem in distress, nearly every thing you might think of giving it to eat or drink, even really mild stuff, can end up being new irritants that prolongs the distress. You need to calm down the situation first, then gradually go about making it better in the longer term.
FWIW, based on what you describe, it looks as though you ended up with congestion, possiblyl a congested gallbladder, due to the unfortuante results of an interrupted / partial liver flush. If you began a
Liver Flush but then needed to abort it, some stones may have been in the process of being expelled from the liver only to get held up at the gallbladder. Since you posted this in the
Schulze Forum , the advice given here is based on simple Schulze recipes. The good news is, there are ways to restore calm to your situation. This may require some diligent nursing on your part, but rest assured, relief is not that far away. The most difficult thing you may experience is forcing yourself to stick with some very basic things in order to get relief, like limiting the things that you put into your mouth during the time it takes to get over the hump and onto relief.
This is not just a Schulze concept, but Schulze is among those who scream this concept the loudest; whenever the body is in distress, like gastric / digestive distress STOP PUTTING FOOD STUFF INTO YOUR MOUTH. The most frequent example he gives of this kind of digestive distress is Appendicitis. In a way, an enflamed Gallbladder, while certainly different, is not all that different than from an enflamed Appendix. For one thing, each are attached to the same digestive tract. Anyway, for now, you really need to focus on using very basic treatment. One of the oldest, most tried and trusted methods for digestive distress is - do nothing. For whatever the reasons may be, you and your digestive tract are very very upset right now. While it may be natural to believe that the best solution is to figure out the best pill or mouthfull of solids is, and then swallow it, it is just as likely that the best treatment is for you to figure out what solilds to not to swallow for right now.
Also rest assured, a few days of fasting, even if you need to do basic fasting, like water and very mild juices or broths for several days, is not going to harm you. If nothing else, this will give your digestive tract a much deserved rest. Rest may be the main thing it needs in order to get itself out of distress. Your mind may need some help in being convinced that this is the kind of remedy called for, but rest assured, you can get through this in fine fashion.
In the last 5 years alone I have been through numerous really bad flareups of heartburn, the kind where I could feel and taste hot nasty stuff coming up from the digestive region, the stomach all the way along the esophagus and into the back of the throat and fumes also coming out my nose....really really nast, bad stuff that I would not wish on any person. I still don't know the root caus of these. It could have been stones blocking the Gallbladder, but maybe now, I dunno. I do know how I got past this distress within 24 hours; limit intake of things by mouth. For a period of at least 24 hours, limiting intake to just plain old water and perhaps some herb teas was all it took. By day 2 I was able to continue coming out of distress by adding some watered down mild broths while continuing the basic intake from day 1 - water and occasional herb teas. Among the variety that you could try would be things like Slippery Elm and Marshmallow, both which will be soothing to enflamed tissues and other body parts. Both can be drunk in teas. Ginger root brewed into tea is also really good for putting out a fire in the stomach. Mint brewed into tea also helps to calm the digestive tract. By day 3 or so, if you are making steady progress getting out of distress and then reach a point that you feel you really must eat something, try Slippery Elm made into a grewl, like oatmeal, as an alternative to Oatmeal. This can be flavored with a bit of honey and ground cinnamon.
Schulze has a quick & easy recipe that he calls a liver & gallbladder flush. If your gallbladder is now filled with stuck stones, this might help too, but personally, I would save this for at least a day or two. Right now the most important thing for you is to put out the fire in your stomach. That fire is probably also helping you to maintain fear about your situation. That fear helps to feed the fire. For right now, focus on getting the fire out: eat nothing, drink only water, lots of water, and supplement this with herb teas and or mild juices as already described. If you can get to day 2 or 3 and find that the fire has started to calm down, then you can progress with other treatments, like the Schulze quick & easy L&G flush. It does not involve drinking cups full of olive oil and does not involve the use of
Epsom Salts . This simple recipe is to be followed over 5 days, and it is advised to also combine juice fasting throughout. By the way, some of the symptoms you described - the "everything causes me heartburn" symptom no matter what you eat, this is a poster child, this is what it looks like when a person really really really needs to try a basic fast for at least the few days to help them get them over the hump.
The basic recipe to Schulze's version of liver & gallbladder flush is a teaspoon full of olive oil blended with one garlic clove and then mixed with a natural juice (a juiced juice) of choice, perhaps apple or whatever fruit or veggie juice you like or are able to tolerate. Note: that's one teeny tiny teaspoon of OO, not 1/4 cup, not 1/2 cup.
Day 1 - blend 1 teaspoon of olive oil with 1 clove of garlic, then add a cup or more of juiced juice, then drink. It's also okay to cut / dilute the juice of choice with water, preferably distilled water.
Day 2 - same as above, except you increase the recipe to 2 teaspoons of olive oil with 2 cloves of garlic mixed into the juice of choice.
Day 3 - same as above except you increase recipe to 3 teaspoons of
OO (Olive-Oil) and 3 cloves of garlic mixed in with juice and or water.
Day 4 - return to 2 teaspoons of
OO (Olive-Oil) and 2 cloves of garlic mixed in with juice.
Day 5 - return to 1 teaspoon of
OO (Olive-Oil) and 1 clove of garlic mixed in juice.
For now, you really need to proceed cautiously and conservatively, using only very limited and basic ingredients to get the main fire out. Once this is done, then you can proceed from there using more involved ingredients and treatments. Good luck and best wishes with whatever you do.
