Even the same sources contradict what is acid/what is alkaline
This whole task of trying to use food lists is hopeless - Even the same sources post lists of "acid and alkaline foods" that contradict themselves as to what is acid/what is alkaline.
The only recourse we then have is to test each food one at a time on ourselves and wait...how long after eating it before testing? And that means how many hundreds of tests we'd have to do? Because we could only test one food at a time.
The lists look completely meaningless (although I do agree with the fact that an alkaline body is healthier)
Some lists state that CHOCOLATE is alkaline! Uh-huh, wish that was so.
Here is an example of a single source that contradicts itself. Do an edit -> search for words like "turkey", and you will see the same food mentioned on this page in several different acid/alkaline categories.

And if you compare other sources - some of them state that
Watermelon and citrus are the only fruits that are alkaline, no others are. Other lists give you all kinds of fruits that are alkaline, stating that cranberry is the only one that is acid. Some lists state that dried coconut is acid but fresh isn't... what could be happening in the drying process that could do that? I don't think the authors of these lists have done much actual reaserch into them, honestly.
