I do not do the laxatives while fasting very often. Sometimes if I am constipated I will use it on the first day, however, dont feel as if you absolutely have to use an enema or laxative. While I was Water Fasting last year I did choose to use an enema. I found that a coffee enema relieved headaches and neck aches.

It is entirely your choice. Im liking this thing because the neatest part is that this entire experience is OUR choice, we make it whatever we want it to be. The success or lack of is our own choosing... we get to make the rules and the guidelines are there to be, well, guidelines. This is a personal experience for each person and a way to deepen who we are inside. each time I try and stop or take a break its ok, and each time I come back again it makes me feel good.

Oops... I went on again. To say it in short, " you don't HAVE to use a laxative of any kind".
