The acidity on a fast is not concentrated or strong enough to damage you, it is just a consequence of certain toxins leaving the system. It is necessary and usually passes in a day or two at most. We have read of a few cases on here, I've had it too, but I don't think it is really that common.

You can exercise and sometimes that can even help when you are tired, funny though that seems. If you heat and cool your body, stimulate the sweat glands etc, this can assist in excretion of toxins and relieve other systems of the hard work they are doing thus releasing more energy for day to day stuff. That's the theory anyway, but some people and some times, we just do need to rest during a fast. If your commitments are very unbending then be prepared for that eventuality. There is a good chance you will have the energy, and with a bit of care the dizziness/low blood pressure won't interfere with your life too much at all. It is important to plan for every eventuality though.

It is only on a juice fast you need to be pulp free. Pulp is important when refeeding it helps stimulate the bowels and makes it a more complete food which is what your body really wants and needs after fasting.

Take care and good luck. :)

Andrew.
