Re: Er, pardon me DQ...
thank you DQ for drawing the attention that my hindsighted hindspeak was inentionally speaking towards. It was expressly speaking towards another hyphenated phenom; Native-Americans.
If we go back to the era of the Constitution, that at least puts the question itno an era when Native-Americans were still found in ample numbers still trying against great odds to live their somewhat native life......albeit it la vida loco as it were in view of the invading federal immigrants.... running for their lives, being expunged and or sent to dry, barren rocky outposts "reservations", by immigrants... you know what I mean?
Does anyone imagine that the previous generation of Native-Americans now regret not having an effective border policy in place by the time of the early 1600s when our ancestor Europid and Brit immigrants began invading by the swarms?.... does anyone imagine that those early gen natives were disappointed that their hordes of invading immigrants were not all that attuned to learning the native toungues or abiding by native traditions beyond those required to commemorate a nationally marketed holiday - a single feast of thanks giving, during one out of every 365 days per year ?..... of course not....and the beat goes on, and sometimes, if one waits around long enough, enough hindsight will occur, and what goes around comes around.
