the amazing bliss of Vivation: a soft and powerful way to release resistances
I was about to write on my beloved tantric technique to release negative emotions, when I had the prompting to talk of Vivation instead, which is another lovely technique (or art maybe?). The peculiarity of Vivation, I thought just now, is that it seems as if it was conceived by Abraham themselves. And instead it was completely formulated in 1979 by Jim Leonard, who was part of the first circle of friends of Leonard Orr when he invented rebirthing. Vivation is actually nothing but one of the many variations of re-birthing, but because of the accentuation on bliss it fits like a glove the art of allowing.
Here are some articles if you feel in vein for reads:

So how does this Vivation works. Jim Leonard is overly meticulous in describing the process, and suggests to look for a Vivation practitioner to learn how to do it. This is a good idea, if you are in an area where you can find any of them. But if you don't, that's not a reason to not try. I'll describe it a bit quickly, if something is not clear please ask me and I hope I've got the answer. If you feel inclined, "Vivation. The skill of happiness" would tell you all you need to know, it is a very small book and quite inexpensive.
The first very important thing to learn is how to breath circularly, which is a very very simple thing to learn, as we have all been breathing like that for years as children. Inhalation and exhalation are connected, but don't think of that. The point is to push slightly and comfortably the inhalation and then let the exhalation be. As simple as that. But very powerful because this type of breathing charges the body/mind with tons of chi, energy, prana. You'll learn in time how to modulate the rythm of breath: fast and shallow calms down too deep emotions coming up (you want the session to keep calm and relaxed), deep and slow help emotions rise, deep and fast help regressions or visions form. That's a bit simplistic, anyway to begin with just let your breath be in the rythm and depth that suits you best.
Now sit or lye down and relax the way you like best. Try to relax really deep, take the time to do that well. Begin to breath circularly and feel the bliss. Feel all the pleasure you're probably having thanks to the relaxation and the circular breathing combined, let it ripple, let it take you. After a while you'll be probably bumping on something, a tension, the bliss is gone or reduced, some negative emotion has come. Try to individuate the nature of this emotion/tension, scan where the tension feels physically and breath inside the part where it is located. Those who have ever done yoga know this technique of breathing in the tension already. The tension will go, the resistance has been embraced by the breath and has been released. The emotion has vanished. At this point you'll be back to your bliss again, and you'll be feeling it all for a while until you bump on a new tension, and so on.
Jim Leonard would hate seing his technique summed up so briefly but that's pretty much it. I used to make sessions of 2h a day when my son was born, lovely. The only thing is that being in lack of sleep I peacefully ended up taking naps sometimes, but well some masterpieces of a nap.
You can dedicate the session to some specific subjects on which you start the appreciation/bliss until you bump into resistences or leave it generic and leave it to your energies and body to tell you where to go.
Once you have acquired skills in "viving" like this, there are advanced variations that you can try. As Leonard Orr began re-birthing in bath-tubs and only later decided the water wasn't so necessary after all, you can try viving while taking the bath. Sure the bliss there won't be hard to find...
hope anyone will find this useful
