I think it's a stupid idea just because you have to be like 10ft in front of your car/truck for it to go off! Mine doesn't work from my house unless I go to the window directly in front of it. That "panic" button is supposed to work in parking lots when you forget where you've parked, and you got to walk around in circles and keep pushing the stupid button. And it's not just me. Everyone I know with a Ford complains of this.
