Can Lugols cause stomach pain and nausea?

Last night about an hour after going to bed I woke up with a strong burning pain in my stomach. It felt like it was in one small spot. I was also feeling a little nauseous. I had taken 8 drops before bed with a big glass or water. I have done this for about 4 nights. I love the dreams I am now having. Wow, this stuff is good for dreaming!
Anyway, it was too much to deal with and I had to sit up for a few hours waiting for the nausea to subside and the pain came everytime I laid down. Hours later, after watching tv, I managed to sleep. Also, I had a toilet urgency.
Anyone else experienced this after lugols? Trying to pinpoint the cause of this.
