Re: My experiences with the full body oil rub.......
Thanks Corey, I can answer your question about tomatoes. I love them too. A local writer once wrote that fresh vine ripened tomatoes were the birthright of every Arkansan, and I agree. However, tomatoes are members of the nightshade family. Many people have a sensitivity to a chemical compound in the nightshades that cause symptoms of
Rheumatoid Arthritis . The good news is that the symptoms abate once the offending food is avoided. The nightshades include bell peppers (only a few people react to hot peppers), eggplants and the lovely tomato. Some mushrooms also have a similar compound. I learned this from my Naturopath. I eliminated tomatoes for a while when we were trying to discover the source of some of my chronic pain which seems to be separate from the spinal injury. Tomatoes only bother me if I really overdo them. I wound up matching 14 of 15 criteria for acute Fibromyalgia though, so my solution is not as simple.
Do you think peanut oil might be a good investment for me? The sesame oil is so expensive, I would rather use something cheaper for an all over body rub. I just want to make sure I do the rubs when I can sleep in the next morning, and I will not take anymore phone calls while swathed in oil (I think that was why my reaction was so strong).
