Re: how old do you have to be to do a water fast?

Thank you for your encouragement :) This week I've been preparing myself for the next 14 days of fasting :) I ate veggies and fruits only, but today I ate 2-3 doughnuts and I got a heartburn which really sucks... I can't wait till Saturday which will be my first day of fasting. :) Tomorrow I will drink some laxative tea so I can be fully prepared for Saturday :)

My friend who was doing the juice fast gave up... He did 3 days... Today he came to school looking all pale and weak... Ah I hope that won't happen to me, but even if it does I don't think I'm going to stop. I really want to do this. Today I even told my mom about the fast and she was very supportive!! She got a little scared at the beginning but now she is supporting me :) My family and I, we are Orthodox Christians and during the Great Lent (the Easter Lent), especially on Fridays we would not eat or drink anything, so I kinda know what fasting means.

Well I guess I'll write back on Saturday night :) (I live in Oregon by the way :P)
