Re: another generation in training

Get the women and the men will follow... that's what the serpent did in the Garden of Eden. Oldest trick in the book.

Get them when they are girls...

And you fellas may not realize what they are "getting" the girls with... it' so subtle. I hope my girlfriends here will confirm what I'm seeing.

They're getting the girls with bling. Sparkles. Diamonds (or rhinestones, if they are itty bitty girls). Watch the teen age and college age girls react to a string of diamonds or a pair of diamond earrings put in front of them. It doesn't even have to be a princess cut engagement ring from Tiffany's any more. How many times did you hear "Santa Baby" in the stores this past Christmas? I've just about got the words memorized. The girls don't care about commitment any more. They don't care about true love. These girls can be "bought," and I'm sorry, you know what that makes them. The message is so strong and so blatant. There's no self-respect among these girls. And their mothers think it's OK for their 12 year old daughter to date. I mean date date. These little ol' 14 year old boys who can't even drive are cutting lawns and saving their money to buy jewelry- expensive jewlery- for their girlfriends. Oh, did you happen to see the size of the homecoming corsages those girls are wearing to the football games? $100 for a homecoming corsage from a boy??? It's nuts!

This is a touchy subject for me, and I ask you to forgive me for going off. But, women are being placed in three categories now and I don't like it one bit. Each category is a derogatory term. One means you're mean, one means you're easy, and one means you hate men. What happened to terms like "lady" or "angel" or even just "a good woman?"

I could write an epistle on this subject. But I'll spare you. Y'all are busy watching the Superbowl.

Donna
