I hate house cleaning. I just want to be clear about that upfront.

It very well could be from the oil with toxins that have caused a residue in your bowl. Put some Hydrogen Peroxide in the toilet, and let it soak. Or clean the darn thing, but I'd go for pouring stuff in and walking away myself!
