A lot of what you wrote could have been written by me! It was like I was reading my own story or at least very similar!
I soooooo understand your dilemma and any advice I can give is a joke as I dont seem to be able to follow my own advice. I have a saying that applies to this : Its not over until its over - meaning you have to go through the whole process of breaking up and mourning and saying goodbye until you get out the other end. And part of that is unfortunately all this stuff with moving back in together and then finding out it isnt working and finally making the last breakup and drawing the line. It sounds like you are in that process and havent quite gotten to the end of it. It also sounds like you and your man isnt really working out even if you want it to. However I also believe that you will always encounter certain problems again in every relationship that you start- you take your baggage with you and its good to find out which of all the problems is actually yours because it doesnt matter who you date, you might get to that very same point with them and with the next and the next.....until you manage to overcome this and then you might end up in a beautiful relationship that involved work but is worth it. Feeling free and independent always sounds great when you are not in it but if I ask myself how many really good guys have I actually met in those years when I was single and free I can actually come up with not even a handful.....
