you might try Googling "bisphenol-A" or "phthalates" both have been found to leach out of plastic.
oil in a plastic bottle is just facilitating the leaching process.
studies have found significant amounts of these plastic residues in the human population...

when I see oil in a plastic bottle i see it as a poison.
