Yes, I am 34 and was told the bad news in Jan.2003. I have neuro-endocrine carcinoma, witch is carcinoid. The tale of the pancreas was covered, and it had spread to the liver in massive fashion. I was given about a year or less to live. However I took the chemo-therapy treatment, and had a very good reaction but not complete. I am schedualed at the Cleveland clinic to get the lesions ablated. If all goes well, I should expect to live past the first prognotis. I would suggest that you get other opinions, from doctors. Not all carciniod tumors are slow growing, as in my case, they are aggresive. Quick and extensive chemo-therapy has given me this opportunity to become eligable for the Ablation therapy.
