You go on living life as you see fit, genius. Doesn't dent my net worth a bit when you run for the hills in fright. We are a debtor nation, there's no turning back...whether you want to cuddle up in a fetal position or not. I can't change what America wants to be. They want debt. They want what they cannot afford. So be it. I can't even loan you money anymore if your credit isn't stellar, you have a stable job, and the home appraises strong. You're outta luck, buddy. Go rent! My staff is working 4X harder to qualify folks as just 2 years ago...for the same money! That's life. You mention T-Bills, which are intertwined with mortgages I might add. Go there. T-Bills are for sissies. Rather be in my credit union money markets for liquidity. You and I want an America that isn't there anymore, trustworthy, responsible, debt-paying...as Bill Clinton stated the other day..."fairy tale". I work with the rules in place in the time I am living. Debt will be with us until we're all buried in the ground. And thusly, I use debt to my advantage, I use the people's silly fears to my advantage when I buy...especially real estate. Real estate should be the forefront for people with money right now. If it isn't, you're a fool. Run, go hide. 2010 will be a breakout year for real estate, mark my words. You lay low, throw out those low bids strategidally and catch a big fish...you'll be rewarded with increased equity. It isn't my fault that you and millions of other public school-educated types don't get it. Stock market won't crash, it is designed to keep debt afloat, for lack of a better way to put it. Debt and America are tied at the hip, you know it, I know it, Bob Dole knows it. Live with it, friend, and enjoy your life. I do!
