Amplifying untoward experiences
"But if you catch them, and see them, and worry about it, and put mechanisms in place to prevent it, now you have not only amplified it, you have now made a commitment that is hooking you both into that, until usually it gets big enough that you break apart, and then you attract others to fulfill that role."
As I was reading this, the mention of the 'putting mechanisms in place to prevent (what you don't want) it', is to me, far reaching.
For e.g., I like to put money under the mattress in the event that if circumstances should shift, I have extra cash to pull from. Nearly everytime I've noticed that eventually, the money gets used up for the express purpose of why I put it there in the first place.
By putting the cash under the mattress, am I setting myself up for changing financial circumstances?
