Re: kundalini yoga, nope nope and nope
Let me ask you have you taken on the Dharma of Sikhdom, othewise the turban is not necessary and one should not confuse the two
IE, Sikh is a religious and warrior protector clan that proteced India's royalty
and after british rule the non religious leaders such as Mahat and other leaders of late
The punjab is the area that many Sikh inhabit, and this is the "bread bowl" of the country.
Also the Golden Temple is located - Amistar, and has not gone without chanting 14 hours a day for gee many many years...it exists on anoter realm through the sound frequency...The God of light and sound
The turban covers the guru knot and the crown chakra while putting pressure on the tmeple and 3rd eye, all this Shkh belief.
Normally speaking when you are home and are not Sikh you will not need anything but a paryer shawl or nothing at all.
The yoga is spearate form the costume
Have you read any books by Guru Rattana, one of my teachers? and of course Guru Dev Singh Kalsa (Guru Dev for short?) He is the teacher of Sat Nam Rasayan in the Kundalini lineage which is also separate from Kundalini Yoga or Sikhdom and does not require any haed dress nor color code
But I would guess that unless you are already in the energetic world of helaing and astral travel you will not easily learn the healing space without attending Dev's class once or twice or over and over again!
If anyone would disparage such a tradtion or process there must be misinformation or ego at play
