Re: cayenne...many uses!
Hi,
My favorite uses for cayenne:
1. mixed with vanilla ice cream
2. mixed with coffee ice cream
3. mixed with chocolate ice cream.
4. migraine killer (but it hurts like heck getting it up in your nose!)
One thing I have noticed about cayenne is that it does not seem to dissolve and instead remains in particulate form.
I do think there is a lot of truth in that working-your-way-up idea. I noticed this at once when I was adding it to ice cream...at first I could only add 1/8-1/4t. and now I can add probably close to 1t. It is a great way to use up ice cream...for working your way up the cayenne ladder!
I remember when I had that huge sore in my mouth right after I started OP, someone suggested I put cayenne on it. (Interestingly, while one doctor said it was HSV and another said it was a "canker" sore, the real name of "canker sore" is apthous ulcer. I'm sure it's somewhat similar to a stomach ulcer. Anyway, at the time I was in a lot of pain and unwilling to consider the idea of causing mroe with cayenne, but if I got another mouth sore I would definitely use cayenne straight on it...
Best, and thanks again for the link, Zoe.
