Re: Arnold!

Hi Margie,

"The Secret", I'll have to pick that up. I'm so far behind in my reading I don't think I could take the next six months off and do nothing but read.

I did look all those symbols up. I think I could write a program to do most of it (the hard part). The one aspect that would be hard to do is forming a collective insight. In this case there seemed to be several things going on in the persons life. I was not sure if they were related or not. One was there self concept/personality. Another was there were one or two things going on in their life that was causing some turmail in their life. The third was there seemed to be direction on what they needed to do. Fourth, their impression of the world. Each symbol by inself said something, but when combined together seemed to provide greater clarity. For the most part I view dreams as a means for the subconscious to communicate with the conscious. Since the subconscious can not distinguish between what is real or not, one gets a mosaic of imagery that does not make much sense to the conscious mind. In addition, the subconscious appears to project these images in a random manner that further confuses the dreamer.

Anyway, that is my null hypothesis.

I thought your impressions were pretty good. When you said that you didn't know because it was in the bathroom, and said that was a pretty private place, I thought that was more than intuitive. I didn't see anything that indicated a limited view, more the opposite.... probably more to do with the amount of thought you've put into how the world operates around you???? In addition I sense you are much more in tune with yourself than the average person.

I think personal experiences have a role to play. Steve's post above was a rather simple dream, so more thought could be given to what it was about. He provided what the dream was, and the background. However, when I looked up the symbol and copied it over, something didn't click. What he wrote and the style of of his writing did not match up perfectly with the symbol description. I just started to write my thoughts down. Eventually I hit something that resounded within me from past exprience. Sounded like he has a hot physical relationship going on, but really did not know the person. Being a guy, there have been a number of times when I was thinking with the wrong head. Wake up one morning, and say what was I thinking. Then realize that was the problem. I was not thinking. It's not that it could not be a good long term relationship, but I think his subconscious was telling him he didn't know who she really was. Nice thing about the subconscious if you listen to it, you do not end up with a frying pan busted over your head while asleep.

I noticed you posted some dreams. If you are still interested, I'll take a crack at one. Please select one that does not have as many symbols as this one. It is a lot of work.

Take care, and thanks for writing.

Arnold
