Re: My first 10 days of water fasting
Hello jayjayjf
well these people who say that you are stupid, and how unhealthy fasting is, are extremely ignorant about the subject.
It often amazes me how people can condemn something like this without investigating the subject beforehand.
To help you, there is a wealth of information on the web supporting our views that fasting (if properly conducted) is THE most efficacious way of recovering health: Natures very own remedy in fact. Thousands upon thousands of people have recovered their health thru this means: me being one of them.
It is also complete nonsense to state that the body will consume useful protein and muscle mass (where do these people get their ideas from?)
Fasting is extremely beneficial at any age, even if you are only doing it for religious reasons. Remember the fasts of Moses and Jesus of Nazareth? 40 days.
A sedentary occupation I think would be more suitable for you in terms of physical rest, but you may feel weak for the first 5 to 8 days. There is usually a gain in strength thereafter, up to a certain time limit.
Probably the best work on the subject from a very experienced Dr in Fasting is located here.....where all of your questions can be answered.
