Re: Tax the rich?

I am not sure what your world view is, but it appears to be somewhat distorted to me. Have you ever lived and worked for any length of time among the working poor in any country?

The working poor, usually end up with used, discarded gas guzzling cars and must depend on them as everyone else to get them back and forth to work. I think Ron Paul is referring to the working poor, lower and middle class individual, who commutes to work, or may even use their car for work. They can most often ill afford a decent car, the mandatory insurance, AND $4 a gallon gas.

Bicycles, over loaded buses, and people walking everywhere, are becoming a more common sight in my neck of the woods already... what about yours?

I am not sure that is a bad thing altogether... one takes the good with the bad I suppose.

The "rich" probably have the car and expenses as tax write offs, or a business perk (I have a few friends who enjoy new company provided cars every year, and a few others who take the write offs as business expenses)...
