Oh boy, do I hear you!!
I had severe costo for about 3 years, went away for two and then just came back recently. Out of desperation I joined a support group on Yahoo because this site is just not very active, and it's true, no one can ever imagine the dreadful pain except from someone who has also experienced a costo flair. Unfortunately most of the Yahoo people are totally into the allopathic treadmill, one that is getting them all nowhere.
Just last night I read the entire book called "The Inflammation Free Diet Plan" by Monica Reinagel. It was OK. Some of the things in it really surprised me, foods that cause inflammation, like lamb. Kale appears to be the hand's down highest anti-inflammatory food you can eat. I was thinking that a soup of kale with curry might be a good healthy thing to eat!!
But this is the weird thing I was waiting to post, but decided to do it now.
Last week I did
The Master Cleanse for 6 days. I don't know if you know about it, but it's complete fasting while drinking a lemonade. The lemonade is lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne. Unfortunately I was doing the damn thing wrong (taking
Oxypowder for elimination instead of drinking the salt water in the a.m.) so I stopped. But after the 4th day my pain was subsiding, and by day 6...gone. And I've only had brief twinges since (that was 3 days ago). Prior to that it was horrible....soooo
I think I dosed out on cayenne. I was using the African Bird Pepper, as hot and I could stand it. There is no doubt in my mind that it was the ace in the hole. I'm awaiting the delivery of an infrared sauna tomorrow, but now I realize that I might have unlocked a door.
So I hear you on diet. This book has a huge list of foods. No matter how each of us developed this dreadful thing, the key is the inflammation.
Thanks so much for posting.
