one simple method i have used it to mentally give myself permission to eat if i feel really super hungry. every time my body says "oh no i must eat now!" i just think "ok, well i can eat, no problem, in a half hour or so, let me just get done with this"

then half hour rolls around and i have moved on to other things and my body and tummy have settled right down. its like a little mind trick.

another thing is to keep some juice with you at all times and just keep sipping on it. this will keep blood Sugar levels at optimal ranges and keep you energized.

starting out with a 24 hour fast may be the best and then go from there.
