Re: EDTA Chelation removing calcium placque/arteriosclerosis

I really hate it when people make statements without backing it up without resources. People misinterpret what they read and remember things not as their eyes may have read. Anyway, Let's refer to an older book but one with the history of EDTA and referenced (backed up) information from research. The book's name is "Bypassing Bypass" by Elmer Cranton, M.D. and Arline Brecher. I will now reiterate a very brief part of Chapter 6, pages 65,67,68,69. Here goes: And I quote from the book: "Let us clear up a major and most damaging misconception about chelation therapy. It does not strip calcium out of plaque or calcified "hardened" arteries. (The whole process begins with toxins in the body such as mercury cadmium, lead, as well as other poisons entering the body either knowingly or unknowingly. Makes sense to me. These toxins break down the arteries, etc. The body's cells getting toxic cannot do their job as well and break down. Guess what happens next? Well, if things aren't working right, plaque starts building up. The "calcium-magnesium pump" in the cells mis-function. When that happens the magnesium and especially the calcium go into the wrong places. Do I need to expound on this part more?) Anyway, back to the book: "The plaque, which has no blood vessels within, continues to grow until it becomes so large that adequate oxygen and nutrients cannot diffuse into its core from the surrounding blood. The center of the plaque then degenerates, eventually PICKING UP DEPOSITS OF CALCIUM AND CHOLESTEROL. Calcification is a relatively late event in the development of both arteriosclerosis-hardening of the arteries and atherosclerosis-hardening of the growth of plaque." "In addition, impairment of the calcium-magnesium pump allows more ionized calcium to enter the cell, activating an enzyme that leads to the production of prostaglandin-related leukotrienes, a chemical reaction that releases free radicals." HERE IS A WAKE UP CALL statement from the book: "The accumulation of intracellular and connective tissue calcium is further speeded by the Vitamin D activity of certain cholesterol oxidation products created by free radical reaction..." On and on it goes, so don't always buy what you read especially when it comes to novice opinions. Confirm it with your own research. If you have gone this far to a forum to read about health comments, then you owe it to yourself to complete your research process is by finding your own referenced research to back up what you read in these wonderful forums. I love the CureZone and have been a silent reader for years. I have personally read and researched health issues for over 30 some years and am not about to quit. I no longer want to be a "silent" reader to this forum as I believe that I can truly help and aid others such as yourself with accurate information. I will always reference my comments, as that is the correct thing to do. In summary, EDTA does work. Believe in EDTA. My spouse and I do! Go on Amazon.com and look for books on EDTA. There are a few out there. Good luck! Stay healthy and always remember KNOWLEDGE IS POWER. It's out there if you truly want it. Thank you CureZone!
