Re: Electrical Hum

Yeah I feel that tingling sensation quit a bit to. I never thought of it as electrical, but it seems to be a some kind of vibration in my body to me. I felt it when I was a kid, 6-10 yrs old, and in the last few years again. Like you said it's when I'm in a peaceful, loving state of being.

What's weird for me is it's usually strongest when I'm somewhere where it's totally dark and in a cramped space. When I was a kid I used to crawl into drain pipes that were barely big enough for me to get into, and I'd feel it there. Recently I was under the house doing some plumbing flat on my back where I had my head squeezed between a pipe and dirt and my arms streched out over my head as far as I could reach. Then the light I had went out and it was totally dark. Once again it came to me as i relaxed while someone was getting a new light for me. It's weird because there could be rats or spiders which I don't like but I become totally peaceful and relaxed, and then it comes to me without me trying. Most of the time I feel it when I go to bed, right before going to sleep.

Also when I realize it's happening and try to enhance it, it goes away as fast as it came. I wish I could turn it on with my own will like you, but I can't. Maybe I just need to practice. I can kind of feel it now as I write like you.

I read somewhere on the web that a sect or group of believers put a person in a dark room for three days to advance spiritually. I believe one person can be put in the dark and nothing will happen and some people can be in a peaceful field or forest and feel nothing, but others will advance in those situations. Some people spin in circles for long periods, some people beat themselves, some people chant, some people pray, and some fast to advance. It reminds me of all the different religions. They all believe in different ways to advance, but the goal is always the same. Different strokes for different folks, as long as it works.

I often wonder if it's just my body feeling a peaceful feeling, or if it's the spirit coming alive. I like to think it's the spirit but I don't know. Thanks for the reminder though! Tweet
